Thoughts of a concerned human who is watching the world slowly suffocate itself

"What a world we live in, that a President is hated for his skin, that money corrupts the politicians and the poor must suffer, that instead of exploring our universe we have taken steps to prevent such a thing, instead of defeating world hunger we defeat those who do not share our beliefs, instead of people having control of their own destiny they are told by others what they will do, instead of creating a better world and looking beyond our borders to supply this world we shelter ourselves from space, from peace, from love..... and why? why do we tolerate such a place? greed, corruption, the human condition if you will..... instead of fighting over who's God is better and who is going to burn, instead of taking over a country for its resource, instead of hating someone because they are not like you....... let work for a world of peace, understanding, trust, and love........... sounds socialistic but at the rate we are going now we wont be able to make these changes unless we start now ."- thoughts of a concerned human who is watching the world slowly suffocate itself

These feeling

These feelings that we cling to what are they for? Why can't we shed ourselves of these feelings and become not empty but not full of pain. This "love" everyone speaks of, it's supposed to be this great thing that everyone has found so easily. Well I have revived this said "love" and I felt the knife as it went deeper and deeper into my heart. I felt the compassion I have flow out of this wound like I was bleeding. In a away I did bleed, I bled out any form of compassion or love I has for those whom I thought were worthy. I am a shell if that's what you want to call it and my walls are higher that the atmosphere. Getting to me is near impossible at this point so why keep trying, why fight so hard to save someone who is already lost, someone who likes being lost
